Summer season of Pitti Imagine online fairs closes on positive note. prepares for launch of third edition of Decoded Fashion Milan

October 6th, 2015 – The last season of closed on a positive note. Particularly significant was the number of users who visited the platform – in just a few weeks it even doubled compared with summer 2014 – with an overall increase of 22% over all fairs.

International buyers from 107 countries – in addition to Italy, the were Japan, Great Britain, United States, Germany, Spain, France, Turkey, Russia and South Korea – visited and browsed the collections presented by 1,348 brands, including Pitti Uomo 88, Pitti Bimbo 81 and Pitti Filati 77. For a total of 13 weeks, the trends for next spring/summer were illustrated through 8,174 products presented in digital stands.

Activities in 2016 included evolution of the offer: “We are analysing and working on extension of the basic service in order to provide our users with an instrument capable of supporting their activities in an even more targeted way,” – says Francesco Bottigliero, Managing Director of FieraDigitale.

For three years now, the winter edition of the fairs has been preceded by Decoded Fashion Milan, an international summit dedicated to fashion and tech, of which is partner in Italy. The event is schedule for 17 and 18 November at the Magna Pars.

Among the innovations: two days of summit, with more content and greater networking opportunities for the public and partners, as well as an App that will allow participants to interact in real time during the event.
The guiding theme of the interventions will be Bricks & Bytes: Shaping the New Retail – Date, Personalisation and Influencers. “Fashion and retail live an era of great transformation, strongly influenced by digital and new technologies. What are the challenges to be faced and the strategies to be implemented to accommodate this change successfully?” Francesco Bottigliero speaking of Decoded Fashion Milan.

As every year, the summit will give space to innovative projects by young entrepreneurs in the fashion-tech sector. During the event, awards will be presented to the winners of The Fashion Pitch, an international competition for start-ups for which they will be able to submit their B2B and B2C ideas to a commission of experts until 18 October. This year’s partners include Hogan, Fashion Technology Accelerator and Facebook.
