The digital versions of Pitti Uomo 82 and Pitti W 10 multiplie the online business opportunities

June 28th, 2012 – returns with online versions of Pitti Uomo 82 and Pitti W 10, and this edition sees the launch of the Japanese version of the service set up to facilitate the involvement of top buyers from the fairs’ second most important reference market.

The japanese market important to us as well as to the physical fairs”, says Francesco Bottigliero, CEO of FieraDigitale. “We want to offer Japanese buyers a richer and more comprehensive experience, in their own language. And Japanese is just the start: is designed to be a multilingual platform and we guarantee we will keep the promises we have made“.

More and more companies have signed up for the project since last January. The summer edition of the 4 fairs (Uomo, W, Bimbo and Filati) will feature 1400 brands, with 935 brands taking part in the online versions of Pitti Uomo 82 and Pitti W 10.
The platform is growing”, adds Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, “it is reaching a greater number of companies and spreading to all the Pitti fairs, completing the services we offer our exhibitors. This is an important evolution of our project and an opportunity we believe will become increasingly more strategic for companies and for the future of the fashion business”.

Developed as a service for all Pitti Immagine certified buyers, offers a chance to relive the fair experience online for a whole month after the show closes: buyers can go back to the stands and look at the exhibitors’ top collections, discovering new brands and trends for next season. They can do this thanks to the “capital” of 120,000 photos, 2,000 videos and a catalogue of over 10,000 products.
And, in order to multiply the business opportunities, the virtual versions of the fairs will be flanked by the on-line showrooms, the marketplace launched during the last series of fairs where international buyers can initiate and conclude negotiations with exhibitors.

FieraDigitale srl was established in March 2010, and is a new company – controlled by Pitti Immagine with Francesco Bottigliero as a stakeholder – founded in order to launch and realize, a virtual fair project that is the only one of its kind in the world, that presents the physical experience of the fairs organized by Pitti Immagine in an online environment.
