A positive summer edition for e-PITTI.com: buyers from 113 countries and 1,356 brands hosted in the platform

October 11th, 2016 – The last summer edition of e-PITTI.com closes positively. Buyers from 113 countries – with Italy on top followed by Japan, Spain, Germany, Great Britain, USA, Greece, Turkey, France and South Korea – browsed the collections of 1,356 brands between Pitti Uomo, Pitti Bimbo and Pitti Filati, for an overall duration of 11 weeks.

The buyer community expands and renews itself every season, generating new business opportunities for our exhibitors. Visits from mobile devices make up an impressive 31% from the total, confirming a growing trend. Speaking of mobile, READY-to-ORDER, the order collecting app for iPad launched last January by e-PITTI.com, is also in the limelight “In addition to its base service, we are also developing customised solutions to answer the demands of our clients and contribute to the digital transformation of companies, particularly those of small-medium size, around us. The fashion industry remains the main focus of the project, but we know it might also be relevant in other fields too”, states Francesco Bottigliero, CEO of FieraDigitale and e-PITTI.com.

Whilst on the topic of digital, on November 15-16 Talent Garden Milano Calabiana will hold the 4th edition of Decoded Fashion Milan presented by e-PITTI.com, the international summit dedicated to the fashion-tech world. This year’s theme is Digital Diversity & The Connected Consumer. Discussions points will include story-selling and multichannel content, integrated purchasing experiences, influencer marketing, and in-store technologies, amongst others. The two days – composed of 500 guests and an agenda inclusive around 50 international speakers – will have Jessica Michault, Editor-in-Chief of Antidote Magazine as Chair of the event.

As per summit tradition, great attention will also be given to the industry’s startups, many of which applied to The Fashion Pitch contest, with focus on the Fashion Supply Chain, launched in partnership with Gruppo Miroglio and Fashion Technology Accelerator, a few weeks ago. Amongst the countries of the applicants: Brazil, Israel, Great Britain, USA, Austria, Denmark, Italy and Hungary. In the coming days, the jury will be making the selection of the 5 finalists, who will present their solutions on stage during #DFMilan2016.

“It’s time to put digital at the core of every company’s agenda, and raise to become a key subject when discussing the present and planning the future, no matter what size the business.” – argues Francesco Bottigliero – “We can no longer overlook this channel. The digital transformation is not only impacting communication, marketing and sales activities, but increasingly also production. We are just at the beginning of a tech acceleration that, in the next 5 years, will take us to places that we can’t even imagine yet”.
